Roe V. Wade Overturned
Our hearts are heavy with the recent news that the supreme court has overturned Roe v. Wade. This opens the door to a very scary world where bodily autonomy for birthing people is being taken away.
Some states have laws in place to protect our right to abortion. However, over half of states are on the road to outlawing it. This is not limited to elective abortion. This includes abortion in the event of rape, fetal abnormality, poor maternal or fetal outcomes, abusive relationships, poverty, and any other reason. This includes couples who struggle with fertility and use procedures such as IVF. They may be required to implant an unsafe number of embryos or give up altogether. Additionally, miscarriage and ectopic pregnancy treatment are both coded medically under abortion though they are spontaneous or necessary. How will our government be able to know the difference?
It has become an increasingly scary time to have a uterus. BUT we will not lie down as our rights are being taken from us. I will continue to offer support and resources for anyone seeking abortion and we will continue to fight through this together by any means necessary. In the meantime, we can band together. We can protest. We can write our representatives. We can vote. We can donate to Abortion Funds or volunteer with Planned Parenthood

\ights not being restored. This means connecting with the wise women in your community who hold the ancient wisdom we have used to manage our reproduction for generations. Know them and learn from them. Build your community and be a sanctuary for the people who need you in these times.
